Turkish poached eggs

 


Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup full fat yogurt

- 1/2 clove garlic, minced 

- 3 TBS butter 

- dash of paprika and c



hilli powder

- egg 

- sourdough or sth rustic 


1. Heat yogurt and garlic up in a bowl over a simmering pot of water, whisk until cream like in texture. Remove from heat but keep in the pot

2. Squeeze some lemon or vinegar into the egg. Boil a pot of water separately, reduce to simmer when boiled, make a whirl and slide egg in. Cook till egg whites are set around 4 minutes

3. (Optional) brown butter CAREFULLY in saucepan. Add chilli powder and paprika. They should sizzle. (If not just add the chilli powder and paprika to the mixture with some extra virgin olive oil) 

4. Toast the bread
