Hash browns
- 2 medium sized potatoes
- 1/2 onion
- 1 egg, mixed
- salt / pepper / oregano / parsley
- +/- cheese
- 2 tablespoons of cornflour
1. Grate potatoes. MUST DRY thoroughly (salad spinner)
2. Chop up onions into little pieces. Lightly sauté till translucent
3. Mix potatoes, egg, cornflour, onions, salt/pepper/oregano
4. Divide into little patties and pan-fry with a little butter.
* panfried both sides x2 (~5-8min each) --> keep warm but uncovered in oven--> too dry!!
* next time try panfried both sides x1 --> cover with medium heat / keep in oven at 200c (covered)
